1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains what data Xeno Food Truck ("the Game") collects, why, and what rights you have. The Game is developed and published by Nomadman Studio ("we", "us"), the data controller for the data described below.
For any privacy question or request, contact us at contact@nomadman.studio.
2. What data we collect
The Game uses Unity Analytics, a service provided by Unity Technologies, to collect gameplay statistics. Collection happens only if you turn analytics on in the Game's settings (see section 6).
When analytics is on, the following data is collected automatically by Unity Analytics:
| Data | What it is |
|---|---|
| Installation ID | A random identifier created when the Game is first run on your device. It is not linked to your name or any account. |
| User ID | Same as the installation ID. We do not set a separate one. |
| IP address | Used by Unity to derive your approximate country and to deliver the service. We do not see or store it in the Game. |
| Device and platform information | Operating system and version, device model, platform (for example Windows), Game version, and language. |
| Session information | When a play session started and ended, how long it lasted, and whether it ended normally. |
| Identifier for Vendors (IDFV) | Only on Apple devices, if the Game is released there. |
In addition, the Game sends gameplay data linked to the same installation ID: your progress (such as the in-game day and playthrough you are on), in-game actions (such as orders served, tasks completed, dialogues started, and ingredients unlocked), end-of-day results (such as restaurant reputation and customer satisfaction), and the time each of these happened. We also record your hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, and RAM) once, and your graphics settings whenever you save them.
These are facts about what happens in the Game, not about you personally, and none of them contain anything you type.
Stored only on your device. Your analytics choice (on or off) and the time you made it are saved on your device so the Game remembers your decision. This record is never sent to us or to Unity.
We do not collect your name, email address, account details, precise location, contacts, or any content you create. We do not collect any data beyond what is listed above, and we do not use Unity Ads, in-app purchases, or any advertising service.
3. Why we collect it and our legal basis
We use this data for one purpose: understanding how the Game is played so we can improve it. In practice that means seeing how many people play, how long sessions last, and when players stop, in aggregate.
Our legal basis for this processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, and equivalent provisions in the UK and elsewhere). You give it by turning analytics on, and you can withdraw it at any time by turning it off. Withdrawing consent does not affect your ability to play the Game.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing. We do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
4. Who receives the data
The data is sent directly from the Game to servers operated by Unity Technologies, which processes it on our behalf as our data processor (service provider). Unity processes the data only under our instructions and under the terms of the Unity Data Processing Addendum. Unity's own description of how it handles player data is in its Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
Unity's servers may be located outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Transfers are covered by the safeguards in the Unity Data Processing Addendum, including standard contractual clauses where required.
We may disclose data if required by law. We do not share it with anyone else.
5. How long we keep it
Unity retains the data for 13 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Aggregated statistics that cannot identify any individual (for example, average session length across all players) may be kept longer.
If you request deletion (section 6), your data is removed before that period ends.
6. Your rights and choices
Turn analytics on or off. Analytics is off until you turn it on in the Game's settings. You can turn it off again at any time; collection stops immediately.
Delete your data. Use the "Delete my data" button in the Game's settings. This sends a deletion request to Unity for all data linked to your installation ID. You can also email us at contact@nomadman.studio.
Access, correction, and other rights. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these, email us at contact@nomadman.studio. Because the only identifier we hold is the installation ID, we may ask you to find it in the Game's settings so we can locate your data.
California residents. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. You have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
7. Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent where you live, up to 16). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has turned analytics on, contact us at contact@nomadman.studio and we will delete the data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Game or the law changes. The effective date at the top shows the current version. If a change affects what we collect or why, we will ask for your consent again inside the Game before collecting under the new terms.
